Aaron Rose

Aaron Rose is an artist, filmmaker, curator, and writer. In the early 1990s, he founded the Alleged Gallery in New York City, which helped launch the careers of many of today’s top contemporary artists. Among the many films and commercials he’s directed is the 2003 documentary Beautiful Losers, based on experiences during his time at Alleged. As a visual artist, he has exhibited internationally, including at the Lodge (Los Angeles), Postmasters (New York), Colette (Paris), Dover Street Market (London), and Circle Culture (Berlin). His writings have appeared in i-D, Dazed and Confused, Artforum, Purple, Self Service Magazine, Flash Art, Kaleidoscope, and numerous exhibition catalogues. Rose is also the founder of Make Something!!, a nonprofit art education program that partners world-renowned creative personalities with aspiring teenage artists.
